TPI Certification

Davey met Ryder Cup
End of November 2009 I completed the TPI course and now I am a TPI certified Golf Professional. TPI stands for Titleist Performance Institute. It is a collaboration between club makers, physiotherapists, bio mechanists, nutritionists and Golf Professionals. After many years of research on an academic level they have gathered a lot of information which they shared with us. During this training we covered three basic parts:
1. Physical limitations and the effect on the golf swing.
2. Stability and flexibility.
3. Kinematic Sequencing.

Through a couple of short tests now I can learn what physical limitations a student has and how it effects his golf swing. Some joints need to be stable in the swing and others need to be flexible. In general you could say that men are inflexible and women are unstable. Often physical limitations can be overcome through fitness and stretching. Sometimes a physiotherapist is needed to solve the limitation and there are limitations which are permanent so we have to find a way around them.

If you are interested to be tested and to train your weakest spots to become a better golfer next year, book a lesson with me. You can also visit the website www.mytpi.com and after registration you can watch all videos.
